9800 torch cant open browser - GSM-Forum

i can open the browser in 9800 only if i am on wifi but i cant do it on the blackberry service any ideas???

take it esasy, Some times when a blackberry have at the same time the wifi and the movile service (BIS or BES) the sistem doesn´t work with the Movile service couse it´s more expensive the allways be geting data troutgth the wifi and ehen this is not on line the explorer does not open, else way you can be able to select the source of data, check if your data conection its configurated to get data from all conectors abiable.

any solution for bb 9800 browser,when i open the browser im getting the mesg like
you are not currently in an area that can handle data comunication.

these is the solution:

Process is very simple
STEPS
1. Need a old working BB (that navigate properly)
2. Go to – Options – Advance Options – Service Books-
3. Press ALT and type SBEB. That would enable your Legacy SB Restore, click ok.
4. Open BB desktop software
5. Go to Backup – Advance, and from your old phone make a back up of the Service Books, only, save and rename the file to 9800SB
6. Repeat step 2 on the BB 9800.
7. Connect it to BB Desktop Software
8. Go to Restore and restore the 9800 SB file.
9. Done
PS. It is easier with BB Desktop Software 5.1
