BB 8100 Unlock Problem

I Unlocked somy BB before, but this 8100 is a nut.

I tried Unlocker by Harald (in the End it shows GSM radio mep-File missing?), MFI Unlockmethod does also not work... even the manual Mode with clearing MEP-Zone directly through MFI

I have no further Ideas.. anyone who has an Idea. Maybe it`s a missing file, but I have complete MFI-collection installed... so where is the Problem? Maybe older FW of 8100 would help, but BB only offers newest versions...

I unlocked mine with Harald unlocker.

1. Download and install latest or preferred OS for the phone. Also Check you have the HHFiles folder under C:/MML as this was missing from mine
2. Copy the SFI file from the OS installed folder and rename to that which is said to be missing. Put it in the SFI folder under MML. Start MFI
3. Plug in the phone and hit Phone Info
4. If SFI file located correctly should show as available
5 .Disconnect phone and hit restart
6. start Unlocker again and connect phone - wait 1 min for all drivers to load
7. Hit Unlock button and just wait.
8. It will start and then appear to stop but don't disconnect phone untill it sais in red at the bottom of the screen that all is done. (I disconnected too soon at first).

9. If SFI file copied across correctly then should be no need to resintall OS, otherwise can be reinstalled from Destop manager.

Hope this helps - worked for me.

There should be a folder called HHFiles in the MML folder. The MEP file is located there. (there is a post in the Harald unlock thread that has a rar file containing the HHFiles - forum won't let me attach them at the moment)

Edit: Here is a link to the post FREE BLACKBERRY UNLOCKER by harald

Ok, I think these are the correct files... but still the same error... I think the Place ist wrong.

I have copied files to

c:\mml/MFI\HHFiles\Mep....
c:\mml\bin\HHfiles\mep

Thnink it must be a different directory, but error-msg dont tells me the correct path... you can see "..." in the middle of Path

Any Idea?

I copied them in both locations the same as you and it worked. I have seen in other downloads that the HHFiles folder is just in the MML folder.

Not sure why you are getting that error - maybe I was just luicky. I did fail though until I waited a good minute before hitting Unlock button.

what error message you get excatly?

you need to copy the hhfiles just as it is (unpacked) in mml directory.
