BB-8900 restarting when enter MEP2 code - GSM-Forum

This phone is locked to Movister Spain and i have readed unlock codes ready but when enter them, phone just restart and still remain locked.

Sorry but what is happen the phone restart again and again?.Are you sure it is unlocked?, could you check options>advance options>sim card>id: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ?

Hi, this problem is like mep 0 left, so you need new mml or dm3 service. Also there are some trick with 8900.

first wipe with jm_cmder then reinstall os and try again............

Hello.Which trick?, are you talking about (loader + MFI file (I'm looking for it) + loader 8900.bat > MML.exe (2.0.1.3) > hide menu > "Clear Mep"), am i wrong?, is there something else?.

Phone not unlocked.
Go to advance option/sim and shows network locked.
Wiped with JM_Cmder and install new OS.
Still restarting when enter unlock code.
But phone work perfect with Movister sim and also without sim inside. want to use with other operator.

engineers.i thanks everybody here for all the sharing.please i have a SHARP sidekick Pv210 that is locked by T-mobile of US .if i insert sim card.it will asking for simcard code.please me solution want to unlock it to network in west afrcan like MTN,5:+ .

Because they are using a software sollution. I'm sure about that. Maybe they are using a MFI cracked or something similar because it is property of RIM. But if DM3 can, we can. We just have to find how they do it.In my country there is not a representation so i have to send the phone outside here and wait until they send it back unlocked crossing my all fingers. Talking about one phone as well we have to keep it as a paperweight.

The same thing I have ever experienced, try changing os also remain the same, then I wear the patch loader continued to use MML to clear MEP and successful ...
