Talking BB 9900 Red LED Black Screen :(

Hey guys I've been reading around GSM-forum finding solutions and ways to fix my 9900. So first off, let me explain what happened to my BB. I tried to load an OS but the power suddenly cut off and the BB started acting like this. Here are the things that I've tried to do to fix it.

  1. OS (.540) reload through loader.exe in my desktop -- stuck at reconnecting to JVM
  2. OS (.540) reload through loader.exe /nojvm in my desktop -- stuck at reconnecting to JVM
  3. Latest OS reload through loader.exe in my laptop -- stuck at reconnecting to JVM
  4. Latest OS reload through loader.exe /nojvm in my laptop -- stuck at reconnecting to JVM
  5. Wipe with BBSAK -- no device detected
  6. Wipe with JLCMDER -- cannot push through. just goes back to the menu where I select wipe
  7. 9900 auto OS Repair found here -- finishes erasing and flashing however, after everything is done, there is still red LED and black screen
  8. BB Master control program found here -- I don't know if I was able to wipe or nuke because there's always the words "aborted" near the bottom of the output. However, after pressing execute, the red LED flashes 2 times. Please take note that my screen is black all through out the process. Then after launching loader, still stuck on reconnecting to JVM

With every reconnecting to JVM that I've encountered, I tried to pull the battery and put it back in before clicking retry but to no avail. I also tried to disconnect and reconnect my BB but still a no go.

What I've noticed is that during the first part of loading the OS, (erasing applications, loading software, etc) the BB is fully connected to my computer. However, during the second part (Waiting for device initialization, Reconnecting to JVM) the BB keeps on connecting and disconnecting. I can tell because the computer makes the sound of connecting and disconnecting USB devices. Every time the BB has the red LED, the device is connected but once it turns off, it gets disconnected.

I am now running out of ideas. Is there anything I haven't tried yet?

Please help me.. I am becoming frustrated for 2 straight days already. I can't live without my BB.

Thanks in advance!

is not easy to solve. the thing is, ur device gets corrupted in some area which cannot be restored by normal tools. Unfortunately, there is a workaround for that but is not available for anyone

Oh I see. So there is no real work around right now since no one has access to those tools?

how do I know if it is due to software damage or not? I tried to go to a repair shop awhile ago. They tried to reheat the power IC. For awhile there was some changes, I saw an hourglass spinning. However, loader.exe still wasn't able to push through. still stuck on reconnecting to JVM. Then they said they have to change the power IC, so I said OK. So they changed it, I saw them soldering some stuffs etc etc. But when they tried to reprogram it, they said it still failed and they cannot fix it anymore. Right now, the hourglass is also gone. I'm back to square one.

Hey guys . 50% of software fault can be repaired with CFP ( u can try cfp.3.9.0.190 , I use it ) Do wipe and nuke via cfp then reload software , if it will not help then no free way to solve .
Phone must be without battery
Download cfp and place it on C:\\
Open cmd and navigate to cfp folder ( "cd.." + enter , "cd.." + enter , "cd cfp" + enter )
Execute Wipe and Nuke using "cfp nuke" - a and "cfp wipe" commands
Now phone must blinking red twise
Now run Loader.exe and check desired languages and apps and click next . Then insert battery
If loader can't reconnect to device then u have problems Wait till some1 will give us free solution for repair it
