BB Storm without BIS? - GSM-Forum

I have my storm unlocked and up and running on AT&T without BIS. Using AT&T TCP/IP settings and Service Books I am able to get Opera and Bolt to work as well as MMS, just only in edge since I don't have the BB Plan.

First question I have is if I try anworms hacked service books will I be able to download OTA and have apps like Facebook and Google Maps working without EDGE? And di I just add anworms books to the AT&T books with Magicberry?

Second question is, I assume that anworms browser loader/remover does the same thing as removing and reinstalling the net_rim_bb_browser_daemon.cod with CrackUtility. Is there one that works better than the other? I noticed when you reinstall the browser file with CU you lose the ability to copy sim contacts to the phone.

Answered my own question :-) Merged the anworm service books into the AT&T books and just finished downloading GMaps. Going to try the Facebook app now. Previously with out the anworm books I would get Insufficient Network Privileges or something like that. Trick is to install network dependent apps AFTER the anworm books. If they are installed before the hacked books they need to be uninstalled before loading the hacked books the reinstalled.

BTW, thanks for the great forum. I've learned more here than all of the other places put together. Great bunch of guys, no double talk and condescending aptitudes.
