BB8520 Restarting when putting in valid MEP-2 code. Please HELP!

Team I requested the MEP-2 code because the 8520 all of a sudden has the message:


Your current SIM card requires an unlock code. Would you like to unlock it? YES NO

The SIM that is in the phone is for the network that the phone is locked to. When the issue was brought to the service provider they said the warranty is void because some one attempted to unlock the phone and was unsuccessful.

Now when I enter the valid MEP2 code at the prompt on the home screen after I click YES to the message the phone freezes up and requires a restart and when you enter the MEP2 via Options>Advance Options>SIM Card> then enter MEPD then mep2 and the MEP2 code it accepts the code then restarts the phone then I get the message Your current SIM card requires an unlock code. Would you like to unlock it? YES NO all over again.

Also it is strange that the network is still Active and I still have 10 tries to unlock the network.

Same thing happened to one of my bb 8520.
When I've tried to unlock it by putting the mep2 code the phone is restarting.

Anybody has a solution?
