Blackberry 9000 lcd no lights - GSM-Forum

I have a Blackberry 9000. Came in with slight liquid damage on lcd connector. Cleaned, but now the lcd display without backlight. Is this a faulty lcd? I cant find a lcd for this model. Please help.

If you have another good working 9000 LCD, try it and see if the back light comes on. If it does, then you need to change LCD. If not, then re-flow display driver.

it is a hardware problem i think. i have before on 8310 curve

Thanks, will order new lcd and post results. I hope it is lcd, because i found live ants on LCD connector. Did clean it up nicely, but lcd lights still off.

Problem solved- broken track on main pcb close to connector.

i have same problem on bb 8800 , phone works perfectly but not display and back light, and LCD is ok,can anyone help out with a solution?

Carefully examine lcd connector on pcb under microscope. You will see broken track between connector and diode. Just bridge and it will work again. If you can upload a pictur of the connector i can show you where is led positive track.
