Blackberry 9320 new version - Cannot unlock

9320 blackberry orange uk new 42490-002 not taking correct unlock code??

Anyone have a solution??

Blackberry have changed the security!!!

when you insert a none accepted simcard the handset requests for you to enter mep code and not mep2 code

Anyone shed some light on this one??

The engineering menu also gives MEP-42490-002

However the calculated code is always incorrect.

Really odd??

Done hundreds of these in the past. This is clearly a new algorithm.

I'm having the same problem with a 9300, Orange U.K, the code generated doesn't work, it doesn't say code error it just uses an attempt up, and asks for a MEP code not a MEP2.
Very strange, must be a new security that makes them like BB10's to unlock

BTW the phone I am having the same problem with is PRD 38296-001 which has many times worked with MEP-06424-002

It doesnt ask for MEP2 it just asks for MEP, the unlock codes generated dont work. Tested on 3 different software which have unlocked 100's of phones before with this PRD

Maybe if we can work out how to make the unlock menu appear in the simcard screen as with previous os versions and older handsets then maybe we could enter mep2

For the record I have tried codes 1 - 5 and all fail.

Maybe new os10 codes work? I really hope that this is not the case as cost would definitely outway the need to unlock

Totally agree, I also tried the full 5 codes so I'm down to 4 attempts left now, I've only had 2 phones like this, both have been Orange U.K so just wondering if maybe its Orange that have changed the security or if blackberry are going to do it on all new phones even if there not BB10

Yes, Rim has put a Monkey wrench in everyone's unlocking... LOL.. Bad enough sales of Rim has super slumped.. New lock's?? Maybe they should close shop. Making a product that is controlled too much is doomed to fail... Rim's Tech Support and warranty is one of the worst in world.. It was just a matter of time consumers got fed up with Blackberry's.. New locks? LOL.. NO ONE WANTS RIM PRODUCTS ANYMORE...

Codes are very expensive around £30 per unit

We wait for a cheaper solution

try calculate by network and not by mep or prd.

if you calc by network you will get only one code
