Hi everyone,

I have seen people giving free Blackberry codes.

How are they doing this? is the calculator free?

I have searched the forum but can't find any free Blackberry calc.

I await your replies

Hi Danny, the codes are not free to calculate.

The person sending them has a device that calculates them by using the IMEI number, and the MEP code, then sends them to a server, which returns the MEP 2 code needed for the unlocking process.

Strictly speaking, a member is not supposed to give out free codes in this part of the forum, as there is a dedicated section for that purpose.

Be careful about entering codes into your phone, as if you get it wrong 10 times, your phone will be hardlocked to the original carrier, and then the only way you'll be able to get your phone unlocked then, will be to send it out to a place that does DM 3 unlocks.
