blackberry pearl 9105 bit of water damage?

Hi all.

Today my girlfriend dropped her blackberry pearl 9105 in abit of water in the stink and only the bottom bit got wet.

I immanently taken out the battery and stuck it on the radator with the knob been on 6 high. Afther 20mins i put the battery on and the phone powered up with the red light then afther a 1min the white blackberry logo comes on with a line _____ it get to half way a resets with a red light. Stuck it back on the radator thinking is still wet.

So i was think

1) could it be the software gone and could need a flash firmware?

2) stick on the raditor overnight and hope for the best?

And also dos anyone know how to hard/soft reset the backberry?

Cheers

If you want to update a hard reset. before you reset, please note that hard resetting your BlackBerry Pearl will erase all data in your device and revert it to factory settings
here are the following steps:

On your BlackBerry Pearl, go to Options

Select Security Options

Select General Settings

Press the button located left of the trackball

Finally, select Wipe Handheld

Such damage occurs because the trackpad connector exposed to water damaged you must replace the trackpad connector.

thanks
