Cant unlock ?? - GSM-Forum

When i enter the MEP code the unit freezes

I have to do a battery pull for the unit to restart.

The funny thing is if i put a sim from the service provider into the unit it says i need a unlock code

to use that sim card and if i enter is again it freezes

Any Ideas as to why this might be

Help would be greatly appreciated

O by the way the phone is from Claro Jamaica......

Where did you get your unlock code from, was it a reputable place?

I got it from the unlock section of this website, so i think it is valid......

what do you think is the problem......

the help would really be appreciated.............i unlocked 2 of my frens phones from this website and they are working fine

what are the imei and mep ill give give u the correct codes...

the code is not the problem i have had the same problem and i have calculate the code myself whit stand alone tool but the phone hangs when i put the code, i thing this is new security on them.

You need to flash the phone with a firmware.

If you are talking reloading the OS i did that twice.....
I even downgraded to 4.6.

Issue is still the same.....

Help is needed.......

I mean flash the firmware with software to unlock it. Not put back the same locked O/S.
