How to enter codes into Blackberry Handset.


Model : All BlackBerry Models (except those listed with seperate instructions below.)

1 - Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card press select.
2 - While holding the SHIFT key, type MEPD or (MEPPD for Vodafone Handsets).
3 - You should now see the five locking categories listed.
4 - While holding the SHIFT KEY, type MEP2 or (MEPP2 for Vodafone handsets)
5 - Release the shift key.
6 - You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)
7 - Enter the code.
8 - Enter Return/Enter.
9 - The device should then be unlocked.

Model : T-mobile BlackBerry Models.

1 - On the Home screen, click the Tools icon, The Options screen appears.
2 - In the tools screen, select the Settings icon.
3 - Scroll to SIM Card and select it, You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number.
4 - Type ‘mepd?to display the first five levels of SIM locking.
Please note: For the Blackberry 7100t you will hit the “P?twice when entering the ‘mepd?and ‘mep2? for steps 4 & 5.
T-Mobile uses network locking so the Network should display Active, All other states should display Disabled
5 - Type ‘mep2? to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2)
6 - Input the Network Unlock code.
7 - Press ENTER and reboot handheld.

Model : Pearl. Pearl instructions - Can be done without a sim card inserted To Unlock.

1. While on the home screen, click the settings icon.
2. click the options icon.
3. select advanced options.
4. Select Sim Card.
5.Type mepp2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt+ 2key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
6. Input the SIM Unlock code.
7. Press in the trackball in once.

Model : BlackBerry Pearl 8100.

(Alternative instructions if above instructions do not work).

Can be done without a sim card inserted.
To Unlock.
1 - While on the home screen, click the “blackberry key?on keyboard, then select “options?.
2 - Choose “Advanced Options?.
3 - Select “Sim Card?
4 - There is no area to type these letters, you just type them as instructed, No needto hit keys twice to get a letter either, Type mep p d to displaythefirst five levels of SIM locking, Most companies use networklocking sothe Network should display Active, All other states should display Disabled ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
5 - Type m e p p 2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
6 - Input the SIM Unlock code.
7 - Press in the trackball in once,Your phone is unlocked.

Model : 8700 / 8707.

***** You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps ( Can be active or inactive ) *****.

1, go to settings.
2, go to options.
3, go to advanced options.
4, go to sim card.
5, Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
6, It will say Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the unlock code, press in the jog dial to confirm.
7, Your phone is now unlocked.

Model : Curve, 8300, 8320, 8800, 8820

Can be done without a sim card inserted.
1, go to settings.
2, go to options.
3, go to advanced options.
4, go to sim card.
5, Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
6, It will say Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the unlock code, press in the trackball to confirm
7, Your phone is now unlocked.

Model : 7100 / 7130.

To Unlock.
1, On the Home screen, click the Tools icon, The Options screen appears.
2, In the tools screen, select the Settings icon.
3, Scroll to SIM Card and select it, You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number.
4,Type‘mepp2'todisplay the dialog box asking for the unlock code(Press theAlt + 2keyto get the number 2) ( you will not see text appear on screenwhiletyping ).
5,Input the SIM Unlock code.
6, Press in the jog dial once.

Model : 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx ( Except for 7100 ).

1, go to options.
2, scroll to SIM CARD then press jog dial in once to select it.
3, Type MEPD (not case sensitive) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
4, Does it say Network active? if so your phone is locked.
,Press and hold the alt key (half moon looking key on the lower left side).
6, as you are holding the alt key type in MEPE (not case sensitive) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ).
7, type in the unlock code when prompted.
8, After entering the code press the jog dial in.
9, Your phone is now unlocked!.

Model : BlackBerry Storm Unlock Instructions (for VERIZON STORM, see below).

Tip: Turn the phone sideways so you get the full qwerty keypad.

1, Insert any sim card.
2, Turn off all of the wireless connections.
3, Go to Options.
4, Select Advanced Options.
5, Select SIM Card.
6, Hit menu select show keyboard.
7, Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info).
8, Enter mep2.
9, Now it will say enter network mep code.

Model : VERIZON BlackBerry Storm Unlock Instructions.

Tip: Turn the phone sideways so you get the full qwerty keypad.
1, Ensure the SIM Card that came pre-installed in the 9530 is inserted.
2, Go to 'Manage Connections'.
3, Click on 'Turn All Connections Off'.
4, Go to 'Options'.
5, Click on 'Status'.
6, (Input required info into Guarded Link to retrieve the unlock code).
7, Go back to 'Options'.
8, Click on 'Advanced Options'.
9, Click on 'SIM Card'.
10, Type 'MEPD' (letters will not appear on-screen but a menu will pop up).
11, Type 'MEP2' (user will be prompted to enter MEP code).
12, Enter the unlock code (for example '1234567890123456').
13, Reboot device.
14, Go to 'Manage Connections'.
15, Click on 'Restore Connections'.
16, Device is now unlocked.

Model : Blackberry 9000 / Bold.

1 - Insert a non - working SIM card.
2 - Ensure the phone is charged and then switch the phone on.
3 - Optional Step: If the SIM card has a PIN, enter your PIN number.
4 - The phone will then display a message top of the screen, The most common is “Invalid SIM card?.
5 - Select “Settings?Menu , then go to Advanced Options > SIM Card.
6 - Type alt-MEPE by holding the ALT-key and typing the letters MEPE.
7 - This will not show on the screen.
8 - When prompted with“Enter Network MEP code (255 left)?on thescreen,enterthe network unlock code provided for your phone then pressEnter.
The hand set will be unlocked automatically,This will be confirmed if youcan make and receive calls with the Non-Vodafone SIM card.
