How to Unlock BlackBerry 8830 Verizon - GSM-Forum

I am trying to Unlock my Blackberry 8830. It is a dual-band smartphone that operates on both CDMA and GSM networks. I am trying to get it unlocked for the GSM networks. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I believed I unlocked verizon 8830 with mfi multiloader. But be very careful because after you nuke the os and brick your phone it wont find the verizon network. I had to use a different program to load the verizon prl file to the phone. What a pain in the ***. Then in the menu looks the same as it did before. I am not 100% sure it is unlocked. I have not tried a sim card. I was just happy to get back in service with verizon. After mutliple trips to verizon. You live and you learn.

how you do to unlock this type verizon 8830, i have it my hand it cannot finish mfi loader

use mfi and use firware from the same vender( 8830verizon)

I have a BB 8830. Rim provider. Please guide me to use another uim.

8830 cannot unlock by MFI, the only thing you can unlock it is by MEP CODE.
