HRT over WIFI - GSM-Forum

Hi guys,

Is there a way to update the host routing table over wifi or without connecting to the carrier. I am overseas on vaccation and dont want to pay roaming charges to update phone.

If I go into hrt, it says 'no entries' and obviously 'register now' wont work as i have disabled data whilst roaming to save on phone bill when I return home.

I haver lost the hrt as I had to wipe the phone. I need the hrt so I can get my emails and use bbm etc over wifi.

Hope someone has a solution

Or is there a way to manually edit the hrt?

BIS will work over wifi overseas with data disabled
tested and is free of charge(don't use our data plan)
and at my side have don't need update HRT to get it working

sure tested but in phone need be inserted sim with BIS enabled account in orginal country ,then when you go abroad dissable data service to avoid roaming cost and use WIFI for BIS

any os is a base function of blackberry when have sim with BIS enabled(but abroad with data disabled over sim-use free wifi connection)
