I got bb 7290 mep code unknown - GSM-Forum

I want to unlock bb 7290 when i read mep from mep CODE reader i got this

IMEI;N/A

MEP:N/A
Now i need to know whats the problem? Please help me what do i do to solve it?

is your device password protected.if yes then you have to disable password then try?
