Unhappy I'm a MML failure

I have been reading through all of the guides on how to debrand my phone.

I have downloaded the unbranded VSMs from in preperation here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f489...2/index14.html

I have read through all the reccomended steps and i had MML working for one execution. I then closed the app and i havnt been able to get it to open since.

Here is my setup:
Windows XP VM (x86) (Disconnected from the network)
Installed .net 2.0, 3.5, 4.0
Installed Blackberry desktop manager
Extracted MML to C:\MML and replaced the BBDevMgr.exe with the one found in MML\bin, also downloaded the reccomended configuration

Heres what I'm wanting to do:
Procedure:

01 - Disconnect your PC from your Internet connection.
02 - Go to the MFI Multiloader instalation folder: C:\MML
03 - Go to folder HHFiles, run the .bat file wich match your device model.
04 - Connect the USB cable to your BB device and power on.
05 - After finish this procedure phone will show on screen "No Application Linked (Factory 05)"
06 - Disconnect device and start MFI Multiloader (MML.exe)
07 - Press the keys CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + F12 (together) so you can see the hidden menu.
08 - Uncheck option "Auto start" if it is checked.
09 - Connect the USB cable to your BB device.
10 - Click on button "Clear MEP"
11 - Click 'Load VSM' and select the new VSM to load

When i attempt to open MML nothing happens and in the MMLException.log I see:

System.NullReferencEException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at MML.frmMain.EnableControlsSafe(Object obj)

I have since remade my VM from the ground up following the same steps and cant get it to run. What am I doing wrong? It confuses me even more that it worked (as in it loaded, i never succesfully loaded a VSM or cleared the MEP, kept getting RTAS errors... i'll cross that bridge when i get there, unless anyone wants to tackle that one too) the first try and not again.

Hy and welcome to gsmhosting forum.
First of all you didn't mentioned your phone model and I or others who will to help, simply can't....but
Like above ,it's for old models and I'm sure you have unsupported model because of the rtas error.
@votran ,mate .He simply ask help, he don't mentioned for a new solution or something else. Stop smoking and (or) drinking ,bad for health . Regards to our neighbors .

thanks for responding. Sorry i didn't post the model in the original post, my problem was that I cant even start the software so the device model shouldn't be relevant? The RTAS error is definitely device related but thats a seperate issue.

I have access to about 10 different models some old, some new. I am still curious what happened to my MML that made it no longer open and throw exceptions.

However to follow up i was able to get it to work again by rebuilding a new VM from the ground up and following the same installation procedure i had done the first time. That VM is still currently working (i basically always suspend the VM with MML open so that I dont have to worry about never being able to re-open it).
