*New* Leaked OS 22.214.171.1248 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 13 Dec 2010
Not so long ago we were waiting anxiously for an OS 6 leak for the Bold 9700 and now we've had quite a few to play around with. The latest comes from BBLeaks in the form of 126.96.36.1998. Things seem to keep getting better as the versions go up, so give this one a go and report back in the comments and forums with your findings. Use caution when installing any OS on your device.
It wasn’t long ago that OS 188.8.131.520 hit the web for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. Now, OS 184.108.40.2068 has dropped, and we believe this could be a contender as an official OS 6 build release for the 9700. No word on the changelog, but reports are saying the .418 build is fast.
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release.
IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU INSTALL THIS GO TO C:\Program Files\Common Files\ResearchInMotion\AppLoader
AND DELETE THE VENDOR.XML FILE !!!!
Then run the AppLoader..
Before RUNNING MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR BLACKBERRY VIA BlackBerry Desktop!!
IF YOU FOUND THIS USEFUL PLEASE SPARE 4 SECONDS TO SAY THANKS!!!
