Member: 1596293 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hello, I could use the internet without BIS/BES untill last week (BB 9300 OS 6 based on bb.anworn.com). Suddenly while on roaming I get this message on BB browser "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as par of your current service plan ....". At the beginning I thought it was because of Roaming, but I get the same message even in my home network. Cannot get connected to internet even if I followed the steps in post # 1. I also tried wiping the device and making fresh OS 6 install, but no success. App World and Opera do get connect to internet, but I cannot download with Opera. Any idea how to enable the use of BB browser? Cheers |

I have the same problem. Opera mini works fine, but Ota, browser etc. doesn't work at all. I heard that browser in os6 changes automatically so no need to change configuration on the browser. Problem in my situation (could be yours too) is that Service book(browser tcp all network beta 1.1) doesn't show up to service book folder. That email SB shows up, but need to get Browser SB too. But somehow that doesn't come up. I have done exacly what the guide says and transferring SB's via BDM is also fine. Please help anyone? Because i have read that guides still work on os6 & torch. | |

Member: 1619879 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | First of all, THANKS A LOT!! A few things i learnt while getting it done on my storm 9530. For Storm, Use phone in handheld mode and keep pressing [!?123] till it u see a small lock near it. Then type 4 ? 2 ?. You'll see the message "Legacy SB Restore Enable". And in new versions of BDM, paste the SD file in Documents/Blackberry/Backup. (Default location for BDM's backup). Then on BDM, goto Device -> Restore. you should see your SD file there in the list along with ur previous backups. Click on it, and click on "All ". Click on restore. You're done! |

Member: 1622049 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi guys! I am using 9780 and i had tried the above method however, the facebook app doesn't seems to be working. On the other hand, when i insert my SIM card when i first bought the phone, the browser works without any additional service book. The service book entry in my phone already contains my provider's info in it. I am running on the latest software bundle W/O BIS. Thanks for the help/clarification. |
