Updating the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Device Software

Before you begin: If you need to backup your device data, back it up before performing this upgrade to 10.1.0.1485.

Please be sure to create a second BlackBerry ID for your Dev Alpha device. If you use your existing BlackBerry ID, all BBM contacts could be transferred from your current BlackBerry device to your Dev Alpha device and they will be erased from your current BlackBerry device. You will NOT be able to automatically transfer your BBM contacts back to your current device at this time.

Download the appropriate Autoloader.
Dev Alpha Autoloader for Windows

Dev Alpha C
BlackBerry Developer

Dev Alpha B
BlackBerry Developer

STL100-1
BlackBerry Developer

STL100-2
BlackBerry Developer

STL100-3
BlackBerry Developer

STL100-4
BlackBerry Developer

Turn off your BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device.
Run the downloaded Autoloader file.
When prompt shows “Connecting to Bootrom”, connect your device to your computer and turn it on.
If you have a password set on your device, type your password when prompted.
After your device restarts, complete the set up wizard.

Note: You may attempt to load the latest Dev Alpha B update onto your Dev Alpha A, however the The Dev Alpha A is no longer officially supported as of 10.1.0.1485. If you encounter any issues please downgrade back to 10.0.10.263 using the Autoloader method. You can download the old 10.0.10.263 Autoloader here.
http://developer.blackberry.com/nati...0.0.10.263.exe

The 10.1C SDK OS (10.1.0.1485) is also being made available to those developers who would like to test on their BlackBerry Z10. You'll need to find your device model number and then download the corresponding Autoloader below. The model number can be found under Settings > About.
This SDK OS update is only for testing purposes and does not replace your full BlackBerry 10 OS. To revert your BlackBerry Z10 to a public OS release, please follow the steps outlined in this Knowledge Base Article. Using BlackBerry Link, you will be able to reload your device software to a full OS and, if needed, download any OS updates from your carrier.

bb link can now transfer the bbm contact.

First use bblink and transfer all data, launch bbm and create a new id, select transfer using device switch and boom list will appear. (only q10)
