I read the instructions on the 8700 model and they say:"user will be prompted to enter MEP code." How do I get an MEP code?

I also want to mention that I am not asking for a free code. But the instructions, as I read them, do not say how to get an MEP code. If you can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
