What the Blackberry LED Indicator Lights Mean

What the Blackberry LED Indicator Lights Mean

Here is a quick guide to understanding the LED indicators of your BlackBerry.

Blue LED - The Blue LED on a Blackberry is for Blue tooth. A flashing blue light indicates an active connection via Bluetooth. You can Enable/disable this indicator under Applications > Options > Bluetooth > Menu > Options > LED Connection Indicator: On/Off.

Green LED- The Green LED on the Blackberry is for coverage indicator. If it is blinking then it means you are in a service area. You can enable/disable this "feature" under Applications > Options > Screen/Keyboard > LED Coverage Indicator On/Off.

Red LED- The flashing red LED indicates a new message is waiting. Go to your message folder and check for any unread messages. You can choose to be notified of new messages visually under Applications > Profiles > Advanced > [Select profile you wish to modify] > [Select message type you wish to modify] > Repeat Notification LED Flashing/Off

If you are using the Blackberry Storm, Sound is is used in place of Profiles.

Yellow LED- The flashing Yellow LED indicates that you are running out of battery. Time to get your Blackberry on the charger.
