i have see the version older only .44 .49 .53 and works only with EDW_dongle the ver. .53 use to rtas

with .49 can be buyr reset on 8900( yep even with rtas- is bypassing it with the ramimage) and some other 9000 9630 9500 9530 and all oldphone 8300family 8100family but still need to run it dongle

EDW=Extra data wiper

EDW Usage
=========
EDW [-P<port>|-u<port>] [-B<max BPS rate>] [-W<password>] [-NP] [-V<verbosit
y>] [-T <max connect timeout>] [-C <max command timeout>] <command>
-P<port> specifies the serial port number (e.g. -P1 specifies COM1).
-B<max BPS rate> specifies the maximum serial port speed (i.e. 1382400, 691200,
460800, 345600, 230400, 153600, 115200, 76800, 57600, 38400,
28800, 19200, 14400, or 9600).
-W<password> specifies the device password. If a password is required, but
not provided, the user will be prompted to enter the password.
-V<verbosity> specifies the level of information chatter. If ,<filename> is
specified, all output other than the progress will be sent to the
specified file.
-T<max connect timeout> specifies a maximum conection timeout in ms.
-C<max command timeout> specifies a maximum command timeout in ms.
All of the above are optional.
By default, COM1 is used at the highest availble rate.
<command> is one of HELP, WIPE, or APPWIPE.

Where:
------
The EDW command is used to wipe devices during RMA.
Use EDW HELP <command> for more information.
Use EDW HELP ERRORS for information on errors.

Yes ,old version edw needs blackberry dongle . only few ppl has got it
but dongle can be emulate , so can use on many pc
new version hard to crack but already someone has it for reset lifetimer for new models
"very big profit" wont be release free
