None of the modifications works for my player... Welcome logo changed, but thats all. The good thing is that I could erase flash and when programming, it shows the real capacity - 2GB instead of fake 16GB. I will continue to look for the right firmware.

idol boot mode is down button.. press down button then connect usb to boot..

or short pin no 29 and 30 to force bootmode..
