I have problems with one particulary 4.01 slim ( not booting with regulary mms and pandora ) but done one slim with 5.02 firm without problems to 3.71 cfw.
is any trick to mod this 4.01? how to show hw info?

One more thing for that 4.01, it's date code from sticker is 8C maybe this means something.

if you bought BRAND NEW PSP SLIM 2000 Series with firmware 4.01, then you can't DOWNGRADE/UPGRADE to CUSTOM FIRMWARE.

means, YOU HAVE TA-088v3, wait Dark_Alex....

if you bought BRAND NEW PSP SLIM 3000 Series, then use it for MUSIC & Movies, for GAMES USE UMD, wait Dark_Alex....
