After long long tries, I finally installed it on Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 (KtiKat 4.4.2) on internal memory storage.

- unpack the .rar file and copy tomtom folder and .apk to SD card
- install the application
- create the second file folder and move all the application files inside it (i.e. /data/data/comDOTtomtomDOTwhatever/files/files
- also move/copy the .metadata inside files/files folder
- copy comDOTtomtomDOTwhatever folder into /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/
- copy the above folder to /storage/emulated/legacy/Android/data/ (if it's not there already)
- start the application

if the application starts but the map is blank, probably you have a high resolution device. I use multi window and start GPS Status and TomTom app together just to decrease the window size.

hope that helps.

On Samsung Galaxy S2 ....
Tried with size set to zero in .XML file.
Also with 2 files folders in directory structure.
No go. still get "Unable to connect to TomTom Try again later. (WiFi is ON)

Any ideas anyone? earlier TT releases all work ok.
