The difference is that with this name DSA download it directly from the official website.

Maybe because I got the files from an official TT installer pack and not some dubious source on the net
If it comes from TT it should be genuine and have matching files/names

I found a nice article by accident explaining how Tomtom acutally creates their maps.
If you are interested check it out: TT makes a map

Yes, this is exactly what I was suggesting, the tarball was identical to the cabinet published a little later by TT. This does not happen by chance. Not ripped from an updated device. Not done by a simple user (not even by an expert).
And we are happy with the outcome, undoubtedly.

I only wonder why TT would send out installer packs if the Works software would download the (available) cabinet anyway for offline install.
The source was from an SD installer and even though the device was only a standard 730 TT included all files for NC10 devices and instructions for the creation of a bootable SD installer for the X10 devices.
On the other hand TT claims on their website the X10 series is not compatible.
Ok, I found out that trusted Works customers get the stuff before the official release on the servers, but why is a mystery.
Also you can still find the SDK documentations and example codes for making your own apps, gadgets and even a custom menu based on widgets - but no actual SDK or other development tools for that stuff.
Makes me wonder if there is something in the SDK crap that could help to overcome some know problems or even improve a Navcore.
Just all these undocumented files for things like redirecting phone calls to the FM transmitter instead the internal speaker.
No wonder development is on stand still if you can't get the files you need to follow the SDK docs...

@bihurkatu,
Thank you for your fast answer but I cannot extract the program to patch and activate the map.
My previous program was TOMTOM4.exe from tomtom keygen 2009 but it as been considered as a virus by my anti-virus so it had desapered.
What can I do?

Thank for your help but I can't use TT8-keygen2.exe??...
Regards.

If you mean by "I cannot extract the program" you mean you don't have a program to extract it, as it is a .rar file you could use WinRAR.
Trial verssions are here:WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

Hi, when I extracte TT8_Keygen2.exe with RAR, in the directory where it should be, there is no file?
But the meta.txt file extracted at the same time is actualy extracted so, i don't understand why the TT8_keygen2.exe file is not extracted at all??????
But I have used FastActivate and I succeeded but it was not easy at all.
I spent two hours to succeed and with TOMTOM4.exe it was very very easy before buit I donnot have it now.....

Thank you for your help anyway.
Regards.

@dsa8310,

With v9.160 navecor TTHome finalize the map so am obliged to rename the directory containing the map to force the GPS to start the initialisation process of the new map to have it compatible.
With the new navecor v9.485 there is no problem at all so, TTHOME is responsible of this lake of compatibility with old v9.160 whitch support the RDSTMC fonctionality....
So, if I do not use TTHome when the GPS re-boot for any reason with v 9.160 I need to rename the directory to allow the initialisation process to be restarted.

What can I do?

Thank you for your help.

Regards.

Cause your antivirus doesn't allow it. I think TT8_keygen2 is considered as a virus so file could be extracted but immediately deleted or quarantined.

Code above is file skins\ttn on your go910 device when selecting MB and CF, with only one change: first line following first line reading ###cfs is commented out, that is it starts with ###.
Edit your own file skins\ttn on device, after reinstalling with MB and CF, with notepad under Windows, and do comment out (or even delete) the very same line indicated above.
As a result, each time when you reboot your device, you will be asked to make a map selection - provided that you have at least TWO maps on device (add a small map if necessary, one that you don't care of).

I am not sure that this would help, but I cannot understand your issue... and I do have a go910 too.
