Unhappy Can't get Usa & Canada 825.2519 map working with tomtom One v3

Hi there
Was told you guys would know how to get me sorted with my problem i'm having with the above map.

Have a tomtom one which has navcore 8.010 running on a sd card which has UK & R.O I v810.1870 installed on it.
Basically what i want to do is have the function to change sd cards as needed so i basically want to have the USA map on one and uK on other.

Was told to first start by making a exact copy of your existing SD card to another SD card. now delete the uk map folder and replace it with the american map folder from this upload then use alberts easy installer to patch your map and system files.

I tried this but had problems using alber's easy installer as follows:

Made a copy of UK&Ire sd card onto new sd card and then just deleted UK&Ire folder and replaced with the USA folder.
Used Alberts installer and on opening it asked to update it,which i did.
Used tt keygen8.
Then i typed in device id,browse to map, done that ok.
Clicked download Albert's meta txt.
Fine so far.
But when i press generate *dct file for your map i get the following come up in a box with big red x.

tt8_keygen2 <"MapPath"> <"DEVICE ID">
Is this right?
As i then went on to next part patch tomtom system file.
It come back with "Already patched or SE version"
I then put in tomtom one and it says"problem with map.
You cannot use this map on this device!

Was advised to try using benbbs's map patching tool.

Used the benbbs keygen etc and i got it to work!
On boot up in tomtom one it took me to the select country or state(keyboard layout section).
If i then say choose Florida and then go to navigate to,then click address, then click street and house number.
It just freezes as soon as i click street and house numberand then after 10 or so secs it reboots back to legal notice page and then does exactly the same again!

Was then adviced to go into the menu and change the keyboard layout. to" small and qwerty"

This came back with the same problem with freezing as before!

Then asked to do a do a pinhole reset " press the pinhole reset button on the device for 10 seconds "

Did this still freezing up!

Then asked to also try connecting the unit to tomtom home and allow it to update every thing it wants. see if that helps first before using a new map.

Done this and still freezes!

I am now stuck and was advised to ask the same query here!

Sorry for the long post but just wanted to give you the whole picture so far.
Can anyone help as i am about to try the latest Usa & canada map 830.2323 instead.
Cheers!

Question

Still stumped!!!
Was wondering if when i removed the uk&IRE folder and then replaced with USA&Canada that there was something else that needed to removing which is causing some kind of conflict with the software?

The reboot loop sound similar to the problem I had.

In the end I started with a clean card and used the software from this post and it has worked with all maps I've tried - including a north america one.

I described what I did in post #7 in that thread.

good luck
