HTC Touch HD satnav HELP!!! ASAP

Im going on a 350mile trip tomorrow around 5pm and would like to install a satnav, preferably tomtom, which is guarenteed to work on the touch hd with UK maps and working links to the satnav program, maps, voices, and anythin else i would expect to need. i will be using the internal gps!

I know there are different threads and posts for this but after anhour of searching and finding dead links i have decided to give up.

If anyone could give me these links and a quick how to guide that would be mega appreciated and will forward links to this thread to all the HTC touch HD forums Im a member of.

Here you find software and maps for Garmin.....

Do not use the software for Garmin Mobile XT for Symbian S60 3rd Edition, but get the software for windows mobile here: http://www8.garmin.com/software/Garm...ile_50020w.exe

Are you sure you saved the file as SW.UNL and not SW.UNL.txt? And you saved it in the Garmin-folder?

Yes i renamed or called the file name SW.UNL , but to be sure do you actually type in unl or do u kust type in SW and save as unicode or something?

I saved it in notepad as decribed.

and yes i saved it in the garmin folder in the storage card storage card/garmin/

To be sure which of the two keygens do you use Part 1 or Part 2 ?
That bit is not very clear.

That bit is not very clear.

When looking at the keygen there are 3 sections:

1) Enter your units id here
2) Select software product
3) Select map product

When you want to unlock the software, you type your units id into the first section, and press "gererate" in section 2 (Select software product). The key you generate here is the one you put into sw.unl.
When you want to unlock maps, you type your units id into the first section, and press "gererate" in section 3 (Select map product).

Do i have to install the maps and the map unlock key before i will get rid of that Free trial, Purchase and Go, screen at the start?

Also if you copy and past the unlock key to notepad is that ok or do you have to manually type it?

Also when iam saving in note pad do i just type in the save as box= sw.unl and leave the other 2 boxes for Save as type and encoding alon?

It should not be necessary to upload the map to use the software, but have you installed a basemap?

You can just copy the key into notepad ...

When you save, you must write "sw.unl" and select Save as .... Then select unicode. You can open your file manager on your phone and check if the file has the right name ....

It depends on whether you save the map on an SD card or phone memory. Now I do not know your phone, so you must try on you on ... On my phone (Nokia N73 running version 5.00.20) there is only one number....

There is NO map of India for Mapsource, but you can find a free map of India here: http://mapcenter2.cgpsmapper.com/get...inst&prev=6326

I don't know how the resolution is.....
