map loaded but only works with postcode - GSM-Forum

Hi, I am sure this is my fault somewhere! I have now managed to load a new map, UK and ROI 890.4234 version on a tomtom one running 8.010. It works very well using the full postcodes but if I press navigate to,address, then either city or street house number it just freezes then re-boots itself to map. Also if I change to Ireland postcodes it shows all the towns to scroll through but if I pick one again it freezes and reboots. Anybody able to help or maybe confirm that this is all that works with the combination of map and machine I have.

Since there are no complete map charts available you might want to check if the map version is correct for your device.
Use Home to download a new map, it will show you what is available and the info button shows the version number of the map - if it is not 4234 at the end than your map could be incompatible.
Other possibility is that some map files are corrupt or missing, a clean fresch install might help with that.
Last chance : A hard reset followed by the TT clear flash tool.
