Question Navman F15

I bought a Navman F15 last summer at RadioShack in the US. It came with the maps for USA but there seems to be no option to buy other maps. It looks like this is a bulk product with no chance to legally get other maps (I am looking for maps of Europe).

On the back the model no. says N188 and the system info says "F 15 SmartST 2008 Build 5.55.0001".

Can I change the maps? I searched this forum already but I can't figure out which maps I need to download for this device.

This type of Navman uses a kind of MIO software. Navman was bought by MIO. But.... You couldn`t use MIOmap. I own a Navman F25 but it has no support too... The software of this gps is Linux based! This gps is cheap but without support.

Hm too bad. I saw an F15 on ebay with maps of Europe, maybe they sold it there too.
But anyway, I sold my GPS because I need a better one

So, is it possible to install some sort of Open Source GPS software to run on this hardware, which will use the hardware to talk to the satellites, and can be easily updated with downloadable open-source maps? Maybe a Google GPS utility?
