Need help with Eastern Africa for Garmin Nuvi 50 - GSM-Forum

Hi guys,

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 50 for my parents who live in Kenya. The unit comes with preinstalled CN North America NT 2012.10.

I tired downloading different maps and installing them using various methods, but until now with little success. It says it has CN Eastern Africa NT 2012.10, but from what I see in the memory it's a 4MB map. Furthermore when I try to input an address, it searches for North America or says "Map data not available." when I disable North America.

Since I have only a couple of days left to find a solution before I need to send it, I'm willing to compensate whoever will be so kind as to walk me through the process and help me with all the problems I might encounter.

Try to search for "Garmap East Africa Streetmaps V1.3".
