need navigation for E71 - GSM-Forum

hi every one. i am sorry if it already posted and i am asking again. i am searching since last 3 days but couldn't find the right answer.

can we install TomTom v8 Software and Maps in E71. Actually I have tried several software but always give me certificate error.

Basically I need GPS navigation for my E71 and will appreciate your help for a working solution.

The only tomtom you can install in E71 is Tomtom 6 (same tha e61) and it works with external antena.
The other good gps program is copilot 7 but it's a little bit harder to find keys to install.

How can i config the original GPS system on E71??? I have any map. How can I install a map??? I tryed to install TomTom GPS but I can't finish the intalation. What can I do?????

I have an E71.

I run 3 sat nav software versions on my phone.

I run tomtom 6.01 wih 6.75 UK map for general finding of places as i like tomtom the best.

I also have nokia maps which uses the internal gps (good for city centres and finding where you are)

Finally i run Garmin Mobile XT v5.00.10s60.9 with UK map on it.
The garmin is the best really because it runs off the internal GPS.

All of these versions are available if you search the forum.

It doesn't matter if you are using internal or external gps....

Thanks a lot to Mike to the link provided on how to load GMXT

Managed to get to step 5 to run garminmobilext.sis

Comes up with ERROR with NOT enough memory to run GMXT
at least 8mb required, it has 10mb only available 7.5mb

Will have to abandon this project

Now have just purchased a Nokia 6220 with internal GPS hope to load
GMXT.

I have managed to load GMXT as per Mike instructions on to mobile Nokia 6220c and all looks well, and have installed the Europe NT 2010.10 map works ok.
Having problems unlocking the the North America NT2010.20 map comes up with go online? is that correct?
Also you suggested to combine the two maps to send to GPS please?
How to do this will be much appreciated? Thanks Ron

Hi All,
I am using my 1st Nokia phone ever, the E71. I tried installing Garmin XT 500.10, but after the install, in Settings under Remote GPS, it says that ”Connection allowed to Garmin GPS devices only”.
I thought that it was possible to use the internal GPS, but I must have missed something. Does anyone have any ideas?

All of this is so different from the Palm OS, forgive me if I missed something obvious.
