Garmin Nuvi 250w - GSM-Forum

Hi im new here, so i have look around but have not found what i was looking for, any help with this would be great

I have just bought the above Garmin, it has maps from 2007 installed, i would like to put the most up to date maps on this gps, and update the software as well, i did download this >>> City Navigator Europe NT 2011.10 Mapsource install, from a torrent, but im stuck as to what to do with it now, also i would be using a brand new SD card for this, i would prob also need a key for this map as well, but not sure.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

- Go to Garmin website, Support -> Software, download and install WebUpdater
- Connect Nuvi to PC, (wait for drivers are installed) run WebUpdater, make sure Nuvi is found by updater, follow instructions to update Nuvi's firmware
-Do not bother yourself with MapSource and kgens, it's very easy to find torrent for ie 2011.40 unlocked - download IMG file, copy to SD card in Garmin folder, and that's it.

Thanks for the help m8, it only has a 128mb sd card will i not need a bigger sd card for this, if i swap the IMG file ?? , also i downloaded the 2011.10 mapsource is the IMG file inside this as im really unsure about this.

Found the IMG file but its 2.06GB in size and since the sd card i have is only 128 MB that is not going to fit, can i copy all from the 128 to the 4GB card i have on order ??
