Member: 2362655 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | TomTom 500 will not update. Has deleted existing map I have a TomTom 500 with free lifetime map updates. Great I thought, I wont have to visit gsm-hosting to pirate maps anymore.... WRONG! The TomTom My Drive Connect app is the biggest pile of crap to ever have been programmed. I'm presuming they do this on purpose; break your TomTom so you have to buy a new one. The first time I tried to update my map, the program has deleted my exisitng map, now wont load a new map. I plug my unit into my PC, it states updating, takes about 2 hours, then hangs on 'Updating device' Is there anyway I can download my own map and install it? |
