Member: 904423 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 48 | Read, download, unzip & copy the navcore in post # 5792 in the thread called v8 firmware & maps. ( not forgetting to turn off TT Home if it is installed on your pc ) However, before you do anything, backup your present device. If your 700 runs the software from a SD card, just make sure that the card is big enough in memory size for the navcore & the new maps that you chose. You don't indicate which map area you want, but there are basically 2 different types of maps available for each map area - those with ALG, and those without. The difference in file size generally gives the clue as to which ones are which. New map files will still have to be 'activated' using a proggy something like easyusetools, which will need your devices unique reference code, to generate a new dct file. Read v8 firmware & maps, its all there, so do a search. |

Member: 1096177 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | tomtom 700 hi thanks for the reply, I figured it would be ver 8, however I tried 8370 after trying 9004 ( which did not work) and ver 8370 wouldnt run correctly; also I have no idea how to use tendrivers method having used dsa-exe to upgrade a few 910's, 710's and ones with nor problems however i cant seem to get the 700 to see any gps sats after installing 8370. any ideas welcome? Regards |
