Tomtom 875 maps with installer and FastActivate
 

If you're not really sure how to add a new map to your Tomtom you might want to try these maps.
You don't have to worry about the how - all you need is included in the installer.
Download the map of your choice, check the TT map shop for coverage and details.
Make a full backup of your TT/SD using the Windows Explorer and not Home!
Unpack to your PC and start the Install.exe
Follow the instructions.
When you're asked for the drive letter of your TT it is important onlx to type the drive letter and no folder into the field
E.g.: E:\ if your TT/SD card shows up as drive E in the Windows Explorer.
The folder for the map will be created by the installer!
Once the files are on your device FastActivate will start to allow you the patching and activating.
Please update the meta.txt first!
Be aware that not all codes might be available even if the map is here.
You can check for a correct activation of the map :
If a .meta.dct file is present in the map folder the map is activated.
In case the code for your map is not available yet, simply start FastActivate (it will stay in the root of your device) a few days later and download the new meta codes to try again.
If you are using a genuine unmodified TT Navcore you will have to patch the Navcore on order to get the new map working - this can be done with FastActivate too.
If you get a message like "... can not be used on your device..." it means either the map is not activated or the Navcore is not patched.

Quality upload - thank you! :) Just a recommendation, if you are personally uploading these, why not use multiupload to give a variety of sources to download from?

I'm not using them because with the last map release all!!! maps uploaded using this service were killed within a few days.
It only takes one reported link for them to take down all links of the same kind.
Use Captch Brotherhood and don't worry about typing captchas in Jdownloader ;)

The map Hong_Kong_875_3634 3,68mb seems not to be oké.
CRC not correct in file disk1.pak.
I tried it several times with the same problem.

I'm not sure if that area is covered, you can have a quick check (url=http://tweetys.kilu.de/images/ttimages_protect/Map_v875.png]here[/url] or better go to the TT map shop and check if there is a map available covering the area you need.

There is no way to use other maps than TT - except you would use ttmaps and raster maps, but that would be only a moving map without spoken instructions.
