What is LoquendoTTS and VocalizerTTS about? Some of the Navcore packs are missing one or another, why? Which one should I use, if any?

This one may be a bit stupid, but is v8.204 better than v8.320? The only difference I can notice is a new set of menu icons in v8.204.

Any advise appreciated.
LoquendoTTS is computer voices and is required to speak street names. VocalizerTTS is real voices and only gives turn left, turn right, etc. Since you have a 730, you probably want LoquendoTTS.

8.204 also has voice command, which, I think, is great.

I missed one of your questions. ASR is required for speech recognition.

What I've noticed while cruising this evening with my GO730 running v8.204, it doesn't automatically switch to night mode. I don't know whether there is no light sensor built-in or there is a software/hardware issue with my TT.

Any ideas?

Yep, I have the same issue with my 720 & 8.204. No really a serious problem. I just voice command it to "Night View".

I'm going to try v8.204 and v8.320 on it with maps v815.2003 when I'm in Poland in a week time. I hope it will like it ;-)

Do you know what is the max card size it will take on board?

Gee... how did you get 8.204 and 8.320 running? Is there a special trick or link you could point out on?

There are numerous posts on this thread on how it's done. You just have to do a little searching. Rather than search all 66 pages, here is a link to the archive for the thread, compressed into 4 pages.

No, VocalizerTTS is computer voices. They don't just give turn left etc. They give Street names etc too. The limitations are, only three languages available. Spanish, French and US English. Two voices, one male one female in each language. The pronunciation is not as good as Loquendo so if your machine will accept Loquendo that is the obvious choice. The ONE v2 using Nav 8.204 will not work with Loquendo but can be made to work with VocalizerTTS with a change of ttssystem file.

It's a known feature of that Nav. The 40 series have a new and different type of light sensor. No known fix at this time.

Bootloader 5.5106 (file is called system5.5106) works well on ONE v2 and will enable use of > 4GB cards.

Hi,
