Nexus 5 stuck on boot screen

Left my phone to charge over night and woke it up finding it turned off. (You cam imagine the stock!!)

I turned it on back and it has been stuck on the boot screen with the flying dots since then. (Annoyed!!)

I can't go into recovery mode as some have suggested. Don't ask why it just keeps skipping it every time I try vol up + power combination (Les I let go in couple seconds). Some said I should be seeing the android with the red triangle with the words no command. I don't see the no command just the android with the red triangle.
