Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, 1. I haven't seen them, but i guess those are some bashed MCU files, left only with erase messages. I have a script for erasing, i can release if needed. Haven't tested if Phoenix will accept file with missing MCU section 2. Only Phoenix R&D will allow that. BR |

I will try on Monday. Need to do some testing before upload because this script is a real phone killer, not a joke. BR

My phone refuses to start, because of sw version mismatch - funny, because it was flashed with newest version available on NOL. Phone was 100% working before. I can't erase famous 16bytes from PM308, because only in testmode / localmode is possible to read / write PM Hopefully I have all necessary files (friend of mine, which killed the fone made backups BTW. 64M erase file posted here by sorinm, which works on JAF / MT refuses to be flashed by phoenix. I tested. Anyway, PM send on genie forum.

Hi, Yes you are correct. But when you use a box and windows software + erase file, the chance to make mistake is small. You need to find files, then boot the phone (maybe few tries) etc. But the script will just erase the PM when you select it. If the users have it in their programs directory, they can run by accident and kill phones, that they haven't created backups for. Do not forget, that the number of blacklisted RAP3 ID on Salo is rising by the day, you can never be sure if the phone you have can be ever repaired. This is why i said is dangerous. BR

Member: 2755 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 42 | hmm, yes you're right, but script can be easily protected against accidental use - by pwd, or simply many '!!!!!' warnings Genie is not for kids, isn't it ? anyway waiting for erase script, it can take some time, before nokia will find all the fw bugs and release new sw for e51. btw: I know you're helped one of my countrymans to develope new BB5 unlock solution. Good to know, you have smth in your sleeve |
