5800 unlock

Hi
I have tried "search" and read loads of posts but I think I am going stupid ! or just getting confused .

Yesterday I unlocked a 5800 on UK Vodafone (V.21.0.025 rm-356 )
When I put in the new simcard I get " SIM card not valid "
I am sure that this problem can be easily overcome with Genie .
I cannot find any instructions that I can understand that tell me which software to download and how to operate it .
I think I'm just punch drunk with reading too many threads/posts !
Can any one give me some clear and concise istructions please .
Many thanks for any help .
Steve

I know that Genie always make backup of sec. zones. Very simple you can restore your phone and return it to normal (locked) mode by using restore function in BB5 No Tp tool.

Sorry, I didn't understand you!!! I think that your phone don't accept any sim card after unlock.

Now, in your case did you try to reflash phone before unlock. I have same problem few times and reflashing phone before unlock helped me.
