Can't update genei to v183 what wrong ??

Hi like in topic can't update genie clip to new version v183 what is wrong ??
On ftp got only flashfiles and phoenix installer from where get new contest ??
I try update SD card with Genie client software but all time I got old software nothing new
no new script nk4c
no new firmware
nothing new.
I waiting for news how update clip to this new firmware ??

Hi,

Maybe FTP is not updated yet for your SN. Best to drag the osimg.sef to Notepad,
it will show you the version of the file.

when you got error : 7
mean no battery connected need connect battery and charger to update clip.

I have same problem, I try update from 161r and got error7 so followed othe advice on here using dct4 plus and tried update firmware again. it updated to 181 this tme but in osmg it says 161r.
Is this because my sn not in yet or some other reason as still cant update to 183

The upload of the files to the FTP takse a bit of time.
Probably your SN is still not uploaded.

Please wait a bit, so all the serials are updated.

Same here I updated the card contents from card cliente but when try to update firmware get Error 7 even charger is connected
and when I got to ftp it only show phoneix software and bb5 flashes nothing else. I am using the latest cliente for ftp.

plz help in update, if need sn plz let me know.

same problem with me. in ftp support only seen flash file & in software folder only phoenix

for update must use GENIE UPDATE CLIENT. It is connecting to the ftp server.
Update via FTP means "GENIE CLIENT" not the FTP support where you download flashfiles. Sorry if it was not so clear.

You cant say this as it is not strictly true as you also get error:7 when you DO hace good battery AND charger connected especially when clip serial not update not loaded yet on server.

I was getting this error but waited as suggested and later tried again and FW updated ok (with same battery and charger connected)

Error 7 also appear when firmware version of box is the same as version of osimg.sef
so if you do SD update and you dowlad the same version as you already have in box, and make Update firmware the you will get Error 7.

i think its working now. just updated to Genie OS to 0.183! Using genie update client

when i update my firmware it gives me blue screen and hang so i push reset button and when it restart it's v183 already and back to normal display. is this ok? not tried yet for functions no phone to unlock yet.
