Cant update genie!! - GSM-Forum

I am currently using 1.46r, and want to update to 153r. I put the update in SYSTEM folder, but when i go to firmware update in genie, it wont find any update!!!

any clue?

Self answer:

I removed the battery, and it updated without problem.

The problem is that my battery is faulty (yes, one of the self-destructing) and since it does never get charged, genie will ask to plug in charger when it really means that battery needs to be more charged.

Hi,

The only risk of updating without charged battery is that you can kill the
device if power drops from charger for some reason. It's 2-3 seconds process
but still possibility.

I'm trying to update my genie, but it's geting this error " File error :7 ". I thought that now only update with credits, because SL2, and i bought the credits and can't update. Any idea .
