Genie all program get error after update firmware [ANSWERED] - GSM-Forum

My genie all program error after finish update by GenieClient . I try copy latest 153r to mmc system and update genie with charger and miniusb in mode ........ it display " checking then File error:4 " . Now all program get error , Fls5 .exe get Exec err:18 ....... pls guide how to solve it !

And i like to buy credits after my genie problem solved , can i buy 400 credits ? Pls contact me [email protected]

You don't need to copy firmware file to sd card manualy, just use genie update client to update the sd card , and then select update firmware on the device, - everything will b ok, for more instructions read the user guide properly. hope this will help.

bro..,I've tell him step by step using msn,, all be done that prosedure,,but not solve.

Yes , i had tried all step as you mention . Now my device all program in error , i request SD content yesterday . Hopefully will receive SD content asap and thanks all for reply & kindly advice !

its importent to backup your system folder of genie´s sd card to save folder in your harddisc...

if you have this files save, you can format your sd card if you need, copy back the system folder and
update your card and all is okay again...

if you have credits.cnt with credits on it, you need to backup this file after every use of credits if you want to format your sd card
or your credits.cnt file is no more valid and you have 0 credits...

so please make this steps if you need to format your sd card:
1.) backup system folder to hdd
2.) backup your credits.cnt (after last using any program what consumes credits)
3.) format your sd card
4.) write back system folder
5.) write back credits.cnt (is in system folder, but need always the last created file)
6.) update your sd card with genie updater

Latest SD card content had already sent out to you. Check your e-mail.

Error 18 means that the firmware is not up to date
if you have older version 186r, you need to update to 191r first.
fonefunshop made a very good update video, for the people who
dont like to read the manual

I have the same problem I did the video over and I climbed the firmware of the box 0.0.1.12r I want to run the fls5 gives me the same error Exec Err:18
