genie&flashing problem with 6230(dct-4)


Hi !
I connect the box, phoenix is working,he see the box like fls-5 but when I try to do flash for 6230 ( dct-4 / rh-12 ) he give me this error ;

Starting the flashing
Flashing Image file...
FLS-X OK
Connected FLS device type: FLS-5 in USB port
Error: Bad Message Id for Configuration Response
Product flashing failed.

I am working with ; Phoenix Service Software 2008.44.005.36625 , Genie box in fls-5 program it's connect to PC by mini usb cabel.phone connect by f-bus (6230) ( like a jaf cabel) to genie clip ( clip in status 1 another status give error )& this clip connected to genie box. What is wrong ? Please help me !! Thank

Hi,

Popup cable not supported. Only Fbus service cables is supported

i use regular cabels from jaf box , whta you mean "fbus service cabel" ?

I think some JAF cable do not have VPP. Maybe you can check if VPP pin is there.

What is it VVP? ( sorry for that stuped question but i realy don't know ) & how i can check it ?

so you want to tell me that my cabel ( jaf cabel ) is simple not fit for genie box ?

Hi,

As far as i know JAF is old hardware and doesn't flash phones with VPP.
Check you cable please, it might be missing the VPP line altogether.

But Phoenix require VPP to flash phones. Most status errors are caused
by missing VPP.
