GENIE LCD REPLACING PROCEDURE: Support Advice Required! - GSM-Forum

Hi, decided to replace my Genie clip LCD with genuine OEM LCD of nokia series one (suits from models 3120/5140/3100...)

As my genie clip is outside its warranty period anyway, will take a chance breaking warranty seal.

Screens in most genies are not genuine nokia screen so colours may not appear as good, backlight not as good as original lcd.

There is nothing wrong with lcd thats currently installed on my genie, but just want to replace it for better image backlight quality.

Somewhere I've read that if genie clip pcb's were separated - genie eeprom zone is in danger to be erased. Im not sure about this fact so thats why asking here for support advice.
(pcbs needs to be separated because there are two small screws underneath the upper smaller pcb which cannot be accessed easily)
