Genie Update 02 Jan 2009

Hi,

Today we have new update on various Genie components. It's currently
uploading to the FTP.

Here what's new:

OS update

v 0.0.0.149 - 02.01.2009

- Support for x512
- Bug fix when was impossible to start
driver due to fragmented memory
- Support for application credits
This will allow each application to access
common credits file in the System folder
(credits.cnt)
- Major update on the OS. Two drivers are
removed from the os build and compilied as
separate extension applications - USB disk
driver and Genie OS update driver. From this
version you will need to have 2 files in
System: gMsd.sys and gUpd.sys to have full
functionality

Applications Update

BB5NoTp.exe v 0.0.0.99 - 02.01.2009

- Small bug fixes on loaders and
communication

-------------------------------------
New application released:

NkCS.exe v 0.0.0.8 - 02.01.2009

This program can fix contact service due to
bad product signature. Supported models:

- NHL-4JX
- RM-37
- RH-71
- RM-193
- RM-154

The application will repair Contact Service permanent, no need to patch
flash(It will stay repaired after flash too). Each repair cost 12 credits.

Please update your SD card and update OS to latest version. The old
BB5NoTp.exe is not compatible with the new version so please make sure
all is upto date.

Hi,

1. Update SD card
2. Update OS
3. Connect the phone and run NkCS.exe
4. Press Repair menu. You will get error
5. Unload the application.
6. Enter USB Disk mode
7. Get the credits.cnt file from system and send to us
together with payment.
8. We will send you updated file that you need to put in System
(replace old file)
9. Then you can repair the phone.

After that no need to do this procedure until your credit is gone.
Hope that will be able to automate all the process and have this
as a product on our website very soon.

I think for rm-37 and nhl-4jx use another product(mxkey) solution free..

can genie add read certificate's from phone?
like UB.
this will be great update.
usefull for repairing, useful for unlocking.
also if credit sistem is implemented, why not implement rpl for phones, unlock with rpl, unlock like dejan@rascal with online conection
with credits, not free.
or is dificult for team to implement?

Hi,

Please check the release history, it clearly shows that is no limit of what
can be added.

We are preparing many updates and really cool applications. All i can say
is that we will release them one by one. This will give us time to test them
properly first and give time to the users as well to get used to all changes.

Hi,

You need to use latest OS for the moment (0.149) + latest version of the
unlocker.

Seems that a file was corrupted on the FTP. Please update your SD card
again. No need for new OS update.
