Lightbulb Genie Update Step By Step Walkthrough


we have been helping people update their clips so many times, so i decided to post the chat log, as this will give every user a good step by step guide.

admin, please stick this thread so it may help other users.

hi mark i have geine infront of me, how do i update it?

install genie suite from Genie Universal

press update on genie client
a file will begin to download into genie client folder
once finished genie client progress bar will begin
at this point copy the downloaded file from genie client folder to your desktop
copy it, dont move it

go to my computer and format the genie disk, make sure it is FAT32 and do not change name of drive, it should be called somthing like GENIE1002XX
do quick format

rightclick and drag backup to grive and extract here
extract backup to genie disk (understand)

select programs/script/log.smx
install drivers from crogram files/genie client/drivers folder

run remote tools from within genie suite folder

then run remote tools software on pc

And genie is stuck

youve nearly finished
all you need to to do is mode/update os
then update os button on remote tools
reboot pc, it sounds like you having driver issues possibly
and try again

Connecting to server...Done.
Updating OS...Done.
