Member: 2878 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 9,123 | i have also dissasebled my genie complelty i have soldered in aa better reset button, cause the original was fast demaged and the hole was to smal, i have used a power button from a old nokia board. the big metall one, this are perfekt reset buttons for genie. also i have soldered in a bigger speaker to get more volume from it. i have soldered two original nokia BLC-5 batteries instead of china one. and if it where possible, i would solder in a siemens S65 display. this displays are perfekt to control and have good resolution, also open source drivers are available. is it possible to make modefikations on genie os ??? btw. genie seems to have jtag port connector, so if batterie is demaged it should be no problem to rewrite the secruity key or not? br. hari |

Our design uses something of 1-50 nA, which is basically open circuit for this battery. Not sure what caused UB problem - faulty batteries or too much consumption from the Dallas. We had some problems as well - all related to the sweat shop Alan used to assemble not soldering some batteries properly. The device could be restored by the recovery bootloader or in worst case scenario - the usb rom driver. Regarding adding new LCD - it is not easy as it has to be SPI and needs to have video ram buffer on board (like the current one). BR, Alex |

I know it is 2022 but I have a genie universal clip and the current of the CR2032 battery is at 3,098V so I assume it is still working. When running bb5notp I get error 18 I would like to replace the battery with a new one and I would like to ask if something goes wrong, could you provide paid support? | |
