Hi,

Just to share my idea. I think it is not necessary to have an additional power hole drill on genie device. Maybe you can make use of the white adaptor Vbatt, BSI, GND. There is 10k, 7.5k, 5.1k,NC. But sure you need 8wired RJ45.

Best Regards

Izza smartcard reader! but hidden from the manual and the genie system software, we can use sd card as a disk area via pc/usb, can we use smartcard area of genie via usb or is it accessed via transient code? from a third party app

Hi,

The smart card reader is accessible only to native C applications at this
moment. Maybe soon will be available as API in the SDK.

Hi,

I am afraid not. Those are made only by me and Dani and we can not
allow 3th party to code this way for obvious reasons.

But in general those are standard ADS 1.2 complied ELF images, with
RSA envelope.

This would add more value to unit, is there no generic api for this? cross-compile something, use api from 3rd party reader! I suppose depends on hardware in Genie

Hi,

The Genie smart card reader is working just fine. You can test this by
inserting a card into the device (SX4, EMMA or even your credit card).
You will see small SC showing on the top of the screen, next to the
SD sign for detected storage card.

But we haven't included access to the reader in the Pawn API. It's all about
testing. I need to include some good example with this, but so far i have
no idea what this example to be because not everyone have SX4 or EMMA,
also don't want to make example for accessing protection smart cards
from other GSM products.

Maybe somebody have an idea ?

Hehe,

Really don't feel like digging into Dejan DOS programming. You have a
C source code ?

Hi,

Just a follow up on our off topic discussion. The new SDK is out and the
smart card reader in Genie is available as an API.
