just recieved genie box! a few q's

hi, ive just received genie box this morning and im new to using it. Ive put it on charge as the battery seems almost flat. i just wanted to know if the box has a power button or how to start it from standby? as while its on charge when i press a button the lcd wont light up.

also i unlocked a phone and wanted to exit the menu, when i go to quit and press right direction key it wont exit the screen, is this supposed to happen?

any help for a newbie would be great

hi, it just starts on the main menu, but nothing happens if you press the jog dial. you have to unplug and replug the mains to get it to restart. holding down 1 doesnt always switch lcd on. might there be a fault with the plug?

thanks

Hi,

LCD backlight goes off to improve the life span of the backlight lamp. There is a way to
disable this for running applications and scripts. From the Settings menu -> Lcd Backlight.

But when in Main Menu, regardless of the power source you select, it will still goes off after
some time.
